Creating related links using API

Hi all,
I'm trying to create mediarepository articles using the API and can't figure out how to create (internal) links that are related to an article. I've found that the MediaItemArticleVersion class has a method:
setRelatedLinks(RelatedLink[] relatedLinks)
However, I'm not sure how to create these related links then.
I've been trying to find different ways to insert links, especially internal links. The LinkManagementService only provides me a way to create external related links, not internal.
Could anyone point out to me how this can be done?
Thanks!

Hi,

Implementing shortcomings of the API via Siteworks is not the way to go! You rather add a JIRA request for Product Development to provide a implementation for this missing API method. That's the only way we can guarantee backwards compatibility!

Side note to Paul: Forget the GX Webmanager 8 era in terms of how some problems were solved. The APIs provided should be your holy grail.

Regards,

Michel

It's not possible using the (currently implemented) content API. I mailed you a piece of code how to do this using Siteworks (not Siteworkers, that's where I work :)).

Met vriendelijke groeten,
Paul van Eijden
Siteworkers
De GX WebManager experts

Better to mark it as @deprecated or get rid of it altogether while it's not used. But that's imo.

The setRelatedLinks method is empty, so that's not the way to go. It would be nice to refer to this method in the javadoc as empty so other people wouldn't be misleaded.

I'm not sure if the creation of links is currently implemented in the content API.
