Is it possible to influence the order of pages shown in the "Display on" field of a media item in the Media repository?

I have several different media item types. I've selected a page as my Default Media Repository Page in the Web Initiative Configuration and for each media item type, I've selected a couple of pages. But the Default Media Repository Page is always displayed as the first option and when creating a new media item it is selected by default. I would prefer to have the pages I've selected in the special pages to be the default selected option. Is that an option?

I'm working with 9.8.1 at the moment. Without setting the Default page, the default is set to the homepage. I could of course tell the editors to not forget to set the correct page on the media item, but I hope I do not have to depend on the not-forgetting-oops-I-forgot-it mechanism.

Hi Gerben,

I'm afraid that's not possible right now. What will be added shortly is to be able to any page as display on within the mediacollection element and -list. This is then used for all mediaitems to be shown within that overview and doesn't have to defined as a 'display on' page before using it.

Regards,

Michel

you can ofcourse alwys try to do some imple sorting in your JSP, or after rendering with Jquery or something.
Also there is the possibility to do the sorting in java, by building your own taglib
